Wild Sound is delighted to announce partnering with Stylusboy for the production, release and worldwide digital distribution of their music.
Stylusboy – Coventry-based Steve Jones and Rachel Grisedale – produce ‘enchanting lo-fi folk’; through charming melodies and poignant lyrics Stylusboy bring lo-fi folk music to life. Capturing at its heart the raw emotion of every lyric, their musicis purposely stripped-back and honest. Jones’ delicate guitar lines and Grisedale’s sumptuous harmony work create gorgeous melodies that brings to mind the first rush of love, or the warm summer air of the countryside bathed in sunlight.
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Polly Paulusma, founder and CEO of Wild Sound, said: “At Wild Sound we’re over the moon that Stylusboy is joining our growing stable of acoustic, roots and folk music.”
“Ever since we first heard Stylusboy back in 2011, we’ve been watching them develop into one of the finest acts right now on the acoustic folk scene. And through talks it’s become clear they have the commitment and can-do indie spirit we so admire here at Wild Sound. We can’t wait to hear the fruits of their studio labour. Collaborating with an act like Stylusboy is a huge honour for us, and we welcome them with open arms to the growing Wild Sound family.”
Steve Jones, on behalf of Stylusboy, said: “We are extremely excited to partner with Wild Sound to release our music. We have been fans of Polly’s work for a long time and hugely respect her. Working with Wild Sound is going to allow us to continue our creative DIY approach and grow our audience further.”
Stylusboy’s third EP ‘Lantern’ is scheduled for release on Wild Sound in summer 2013, with the debut album following hot on its heels later in the year.
