About

Wild Sound is a record label which nurtures acoustic folk roots artists and licenses their songs and instrumental library music.

Wild Sound was founded in 2012 by Polly Paulusma as a vehicle for releasing her own acoustic recordings after leaving One Little Indian in 2008.  Since then it has grown to incorporate the works of other artists in a spirit of collaboration and collective endeavour. Its main aim is to disseminate songs and instrumental music to the listening public via digital distribution and via licensing to the world of TV and film, advertising and gaming syncs.

“Wild sound”, sometimes also called “wild track”, is the recording a sound engineer makes of air moving in an environment to be used in a mix.  It is intended to capture the unique sound a place makes just by being.
